What I thought would be a quick trip to Morgan County this morning turned into a 35-minute standstill on I-65.
When you only have two lanes moving in one direction through a high-traffic area on the interstate, it does not take much to bring vehicles to a halt. Emergency responders were on the scene doing their job, but the reality is our infrastructure leaves very little room for error when something goes wrong.
This is why infrastructure improvements matter. Long-term, fiscally responsible infrastructure investments enhance safety, efficiency, and help people get to work, appointments, and back home to their families without unnecessary delays.
